Starting in a family pirate band, Tom’s musical and theatrical pursuits have grown throughout college, and coalesced upon graduating from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts where he studied theatre and philosophy. He now performs both locally and across the country in theaters, restaurants, festivals, street corners and parking lots, schools, museums, and Renaissance Faires.

Tom develops programs for assisted living communities throughout the New England area. He tries to enrich their lives through a tapestry of nostalgic songs and musical pieces that enliven their souls, while transporting them back to an earlier time.

Other performances revolve around childhood education. Tom has developed a presentation around the life and history of Samuel Bellamy which is a teacher-in-role performance that retells the life of one of the world’s most famous pirates. In addition, he has a World Music program that can be performed for elementary education.

 Special Projects

Tom is always willing to collaborate and create with artists, directors, producers, designers, and employers on new work. If you are looking for assistance on a new project please feel free to reach out if you are in need of an accordionist, an actor, or wanting original material!

Beyond the Hills

Tom’s first album was released in June of 2018. Beyond the Hills showcases original and traditional music with influences from around Europe. Tom’s original material on this CD includes four reimagined songs from Shakespeare’s As You Like It, a pirate song about the life of Henry Avery (The Fancy), and an instrumental piece (Donato). The rest of the album is filled out with various tunes and songs stretching across Europe.

Beyond the Hills features the violinist Lary Chaplan (MA) and Victoria Van Arnam (FL) on the hammered dulcimer. These two aid in fulfilling Tom’s vision of these songs. Lary provides excellent solos and backing across many of the tracks on the album. The listener will also experience the magic of the hammered dulcimer as it is paired with accordion to provide an interesting and exotic sound.
